Your solution partner for mechanical pressure and temperature measurement
It is a long way from crude oil to the end product. For several decades Bourdon has been a leading supplier to the Oil and Gas industry. Bourdon as a trusted partner and industry expert knowing about the demands of each exploration and production process and will support you throughout your entire value chain with absolutely reliable, high-performance measuring instruments technology. Whether it comes to dependable process control in drilling and oil production, to reliable monitoring of the refining process or to transport and storage in compliance with the prevailing standards – you can always rely on the top-grade quality of Bourdon process instruments.
Explosive gases, strong vibrations, extreme weather conditions and a salty, corrosive atmosphere impose extremely demanding requirements. Only robust and reliable pressure gauges, chemical seals, thermowells and thermometers can ensure safety here.
Reliability and precision – vital features in the field of Oil and Gas extraction. Our pressure and temperature measuring instruments hold up in environments where corrosive and aggressive media are present and provide certifications for hazardous areas.
Extreme durability and high precision. Whether onshore or offshore, in pressure, level or temperature measuring – Original Bourdon offers products with anti-corrosion coating to ensure impermeability and sealing capabilities throughout the entire service life of the product.
One basic requirement: zero failure! Whether it comes to temperature instruments and safety pressure gauges with improved protection of operator and environment we provide reliably long lasting solutions for all measuring tasks.
Pipelines are the preferred means of transporting liquids or gases from their point of origin to the point of distribution. Explosion-proof measuring instruments ensure safe processes in pipeline operation, from control and pumping on to compressor stations and delivery terminals.
Storage is necessary to meet seasonal and other fluctuations in demand. For operating storage reservoir pressure, temperature and level monitoring is essential. Bourdon guarantees reliable processes in hazardous areas with most demanding standards and ratings.
The increasing use of water for the production of Oil and Gas is creating the need for progressively more complex water treatment facilities. Bourdon is effectively supporting its customers to meet these standards, reduce energy consumption and to implement environmentally sustainable processes.
European directive 2014/34/EU: Equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres (replaces 94/9/EC). Compliance is to be examined by a certified body and confirmed with a type examination certificate (e.g. TÜV). Bourdon declares the compliance of appropriate measurement instruments with the directive in the CE Declaration of Conformity.
Compliance with European directives. By attaching the CE mark, Bourdon declares the relevant product-specific compliance: The directives and any standards applied are to be specified in a “Declaration of Conformity” with the type designation of the device and the manufacturer’s address. With this document, which is to be presented on request, the manufacturer declares compliance on his own responsibility.
"Goods commercialized in the free trade EEC-area (Eurasian Economic Union - Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kirghizstan) are subject to a system of certification that lies in the development of 66 technical regulation (CU_TR or TR_TC) of the EEC. The EAC (Eurasian Conformity) Marking, proves the conformity of products."
FM Approvals is an independent global testing and certification agency. The company developed over 200 approval standards illustrating the approval criteria of various types of products and services, among others, FM 2311 for Vacuum and pressure gauges for Fire Protection Systems.
NACE International, is recognized globally as the premier authority for corrosion control solutions. Specific Material Requirements (Eg. NACE MR0175) particularly relevant for instruments used during the extraction and processing of natural gas and crude oil. Bourdon can make recommendations for proper materials selection, rely on certified suppliers and provide material traceability, testing and certificates.
Independent organization in the US. Issues standards and tests products for compliance with special requirements, for example safety. Canadian Standards Association (CSA) is the counterpart in Canada. Listing is not mandatory for the simple sale in the United States and Canada, since our devices do not use voltages or currents that pose the risk of electrical shock or fire.
